Pyramis was founded in 1959 in Thessaloniki, Greece by Alexandros Bakatselos. From a small metalworking workshop, the company grew rapidly through the 1960s and 1970s to become Greece’s market leader in stainless steel sinks and cookware. Pyragranite — 280°C Heat Resistance
Pyragranite’s 80% natural granite composition gives it heat resistance up to 280°C — significantly higher than standard composite sinks. In Omani kitchens where large pots of boiling water and hot cookware are placed directly in the sink, this thermal resistance prevents cracking, discolouration and surface damage that affects inferior composite materials.
Hygienic Non-Porous Surface
Pyragranite’s dense, non-porous surface resists bacterial growth and prevents food particles and liquids from penetrating the material. Unlike stainless steel which can scratch and harbour bacteria in micro-abrasions, Pyragranite maintains its hygienic surface properties throughout its lifespan — critical for Omani family kitchens used intensively for daily cooking.
18/10 Stainless Steel Grade
Pyramis stainless steel sinks use 18/10 grade steel — 18% chromium for corrosion resistance and 10% nickel for durability and finish quality. This specification is significantly more resistant to the limescale, hard water deposits and cleaning chemicals common in Oman’s water supply than lower-grade 18/0 stainless steel used in budget sink alternatives.
Reversible Bowl Design
